See your Song, Sing your Piece Participation Form
We are reaching out to our diverse Cumberland County community of teens and teaching artists for the creation of a special program that inspires self expression and cultural awareness. Participants are selected from artist submissions which require sample artwork submitted as MP3 files, 2-D, and 3-D visual artwork. 20 students will be selected through the jurying process.
The translation of the human voice into a physical tile piece, for permanent installation at the Arts and Innovation Center provides the inventive element to the program. Throughout the making “See Your Song, Sing Your Piece” the process will be captured in a video of the same name. This project is intended to “serve as a catalyst for a robust community, empowering people through excellence in higher education, collaborative relationships and engaged community leadership,” as stated in the Rowan College of South Jersey mission statement.
NOTE:  Throughout the making of "See Your Song/Sing Your Piece" participants will be photographed and their creative process will be captured in a video of the same name.  Please see and complete the attached photo release.
