Facing Your Fears of Online Learning​

PRESENTERS: Dr. Patricia Claghorn, Danielle Morganti

​In this seminar, participants will:
  • Explore the structure of an online course;
  • ​Tips and tricks for success;
  • Speak with a current student and a former graduate
    • Current student:  Lisa Jackson, A.S., Human Resource Management
    • Former Graduate: Rebecca Cunningham, currently attending Wilmington University​
Dr. Patricia Claghorn is the Dean of Business for Rowan College of South Jersey.  Passionate about st​udent success, Dr. Claghorn and her faculty are focused on providing students with online courses and programs that will work for their life styles and allow them to complete valuable degrees and certificates.  Dr. Claghorn is an Executive Board Member of the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce and an active participant on the Apprenticeship and Industry Committee of the Gloucester County Workforce Development Board.

​Danielle Morganti graduated from Rowan College with her A.A.S. in Accounting and then transferred to Rowan University where she obtained her B.S. in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting.  In 2009 Danielle received her MBA with a specialization in Human Resource Management from the University of Phoenix and she is certified by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) as a Senior Certified Professional (SCP).​

Danielle returned to Rowan College i​n 2002 working as an Accountant in the Financial Services Department.  In 2007 she transferred to the Human Resources Department and in 2009 was promoted to the Executive Director of Human Resources. In 2015 Danielle became a full-time Instructor in the Business Studies Division where she now shares her vast experience in Accounting and Human Resource Management.

Enhancing Your Skills through Online Training, Certificates and Degree Programs​

Thursday, June 11 (12:00 p.m.)

PRESENTERS​: Brigette Satchell, Dr. ​Terrence Hardee, Allen Magid

​In this seminar, participants will:
  • Learn about different types of skills and training programs that are available; and
  • Speak with representatives about evolving skills and standards in the new work environment.
Brigette Satchell, Special Assistant to the President, Workforce Development at Rowan College of South jersey, has over 25 years of experience in adult literacy, professional development, and workforce development. Brigette currently serves as an executive member of the Gloucester County Workforce Development Board and member of the State Council for Adult Literacy Education Services. Brigette ardently devotes herself to addressing the workforce development needs of employers in Southern New Jersey.

Dr. Terrence Hardee, Executive Director, Career and Technical Education, RCSJ, has more than 20 years of experience in the higher education environment, working closely with college students, faculty, and staff.  Under Dr. Hardee leadership he is responsible for the administration of all career and technical education programming and will lead the development of a strategic plan for the department. He provides direction for developing new relationships with the local and regional business communities while maintaining and deepening existing relationships with businesses and organizations serving the unemployed and under-employed. He is dedicated to providing the highest quality transfer and workforce education courses, along with adult education, basic skills, and community services.

Allen Magid, Business Development Manager, Corporate Training, RCSJ has over 21 years of experience in Corporate Training, and over 42 years as a National Sales Manager for multiple consumer products companies.  This experience allowed him to grow his Corporate Training Division to one of the best in New Jersey. After spending 5 years at Camden County College and presently 16 years at Rowan College of South Jersey, he has developed a following of customers that have allowed him to develop long term training programs to elevate their employee’s skills and company profits. His motto is “One Size Training is not for everyone”, so he makes sure to customize the training experience for every client.
