Deptford Twp. – Join the excitement and learn more about a new kind of community college during Rowan College of South Jersey's (RCSJ) Open House on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 6 p.m. on the Gloucester campus.
The July 1 merger of Rowan College at Gloucester County and Cumberland County College to create the first regional community college in New Jersey expands the variety of academic choices—with more than 120 unique degree and certificate programs—and opens the door to additional opportunities through cost-saving initiatives, internship placements, scholarship awards and four-year transfer options.
The fall Open House is a great way to get familiar with the different academic divisions, athletics and student services available at RCSJ, which has one of the lowest tuition rates in the state. Prospective students and their parents will have a chance to learn more about career-focused programs of study, tour the campus and meet RCSJ's experienced faculty and staff, who will be present to answer questions and provide visitors with valuable program, admission and financial aid information.
Make sure to check out RCSJ's innovative 3+1 programs where specific majors affiliated with Rowan University offer the first three years of study at RCSJ's tuition rate and the senior year at Rowan University's tuition rate, to make the cost of earning a bachelor's degree less than $30,000. Learn about the college's new “Rowan Work & Learn" program, a flexible education option that prepares students to enter high-demand career fields with valuable internship experience and stackable credentials for a competitive edge on the next job interview.
With premier partner Rowan University, prospective students can discover pathways to a Rowan University degree, moving seamlessly to the main campus in Glassboro or finishing their bachelor's degree with tuition discounts at RCSJ. Wilmington, Fairleigh Dickinson, Montclair State and Georgian Court Universities also offer degree completion programs on the RCSJ campuses.
For the athletically inclined, activities coordinators and coaches will be available to share information. The Roadrunners Athletic Department has received many national awards, including being named the Top NJCAA athletic program in the country, as well as having more than 300 All-American athletes.
Tours of the buildings and grounds will be available to visitors, including information about the many student resources offered on the Gloucester campus, such as career and advancement planning, counseling and wellness services.
