Mental Health Technician

A Certified Mental Health Technician participates in both the planning and implementing of individual treatment plans. Students will have the ability to develop the skills in the following areas: care for mentally impaired or emotionally distributed people, hygiene of patients, patients pulse, temperature, respiration, issue medication from dispensary and maintain records, lead prescribed individual or group therapy sessions as part of the therapeutic procedures, and assist patients with daily living activities.

Upon completion of this course, students will be prepared to take the Mental Health Technician exam offered by the American Medical Certification Association, and the cost
of the exam is included in your enrollment.
