Welding Safety
| Students will: - Identify common hazards in welding
- Explain and identify proper personal protection used in welding

Oxyfuel Cutting | Students will: - Identify and explain the use of oxyfuel cutting equipment.
- Perform oxyfuel cutting: straight line and square shapes; piercing and slot cutting; bevels; washing; gouging.

The Welding Technology I course introduces students to welding safety, become familiar with welding equipment, and learn welding skills as it pertains to shielded metal arc welding and oxy-fuel gas cutting. Upon completion of the course, students will take the AWS D1.1 certification.
