The Generic Nursing (RN) program combines general education with nursing courses to prepare students for entry level nursing practice.

Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensing Examination (NCLEX-RN) and apply to a Board of Nursing for licensure as registered nurses.

On July 1, 2019, the former Cumberland County College and Rowan College of Gloucester County merged to become Rowan College South Jersey. Due to the merger, the New Jersey Board of Nursing required the two programs to join and create one unified curriculum. The Nursing program curriculum is delivered on both campuses.

Applicants may only submit a portfolio to one campus for the Generic Nursing (RN) program. An applicant who submits a portfolio for both campuses will be denied entry on both campuses.
