Join us as we welcome you all back to campus for IN-PERSON Job Readiness, Computer Skills, and Life Skills Workshops.

All sessions are FREE of charge and open to the public. 

November 2022 Workshops
November (LIFE SKILLS):       
  • Organizational Skills (11/7/22) - Participants will learn effective ways to be more organized.
  • Time Management Skills (11/9/22) - Participants will leam time management skills and techniques.
  • Stress Management Skills (11114122) - Participants will learn different ways to relieve and manage levels of stress.
  • Public Speaking Skills (11/16/22) - Participants will review and practice public speaking techniques.​

All classes are held from 5:00& PM TO 7:00 PM at the Innovation Arts Center in Millville, NJ​     

     

     
     
December 2022 Workshops
December 2022 (MONEY MANANGEMENT): 
   

      
  • Back to Budgeting (12/5/22) - Participants will review effective budgeting techniques and skills. Participants will also practice these skills by creating their own budget.
  • Saving Strategies (12/7122) - Participants will learn saving strategies.
  • Dealing with Debt (12/12/22) - Participants will identify areas of debt in their finances. Participants will also learn how to manage and reduce debt.
  • Building Credit (12/14122) - Participants will take a test to identify what their current credit score is. Participants will also learn how to build credit.        

All classes are held from 5:00& PM TO 7:00 PM at the Innovation Arts Center in Millville, NJ​

January 2023 (HEALTHY HABITS):            

  • S.M.A.R.T. Goals (1 /9/23) - Participants will identify specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound goals.
  • Mastering Meal Planning (1/11/23) - Participants will learn meal-prepping plans and techniques to live a healthier lifestyle.
  • Fitting in Fitness (1/18/23) - Participants will discuss the benefits of exercise and strategies for how to remain physically fit.
  • Managing Burnout in the Workplace (1/19/23) - Participants will identify areas of burnout that they have experienced in their workplaces. Participants will also learn how to properly manage burnout in the workplace.​

All classes are held from 5:00& PM TO 7:00 PM at the Innovation Arts Center in Millville, NJ​

February 2023 (RELATIONSHIP GOALS):
   

        
  • Loving Me More (2/6/23) - Participants will learn and identify self-love practices.
  • Fostering Friendships (2/8/23) - Participants will identify how to cultivate long-term relationships with family, peers, and potential romantic partners.
  • Dominating in Your Dating Life (2/20/23) - Participants will review healthy dating practices.
  • Healthy Vs. Unhealthy Relationships (2122/23) - Participants will learn how to identify the signs of healthy relationships and the red flags in unhealthy relationships.

All classes are held from 5:00& PM TO 7:00 PM at the Innovation Arts Center in Millville, NJ​

March 2023 (CULTIVATING DIVERSITY):
    
  • Defining Diversity (3/6/23) - Participants will define diversity and be introduced to diversity tenninology.
  • Equality Vs. Equity (3/8/23) - Participants will learn the importance and differences between equality and equity.
  • Implicit & Explicit Bias (3/13/23) - Participants will learn the importance and differences between implicit and explicit bias. Participants will also learn how personal biases can affect how they view various individuals.
  • Promoting Allyship & Bystander Prevention (3/15/23) - Participants will learn how to be an ally in promoting systemic change in the workplace.

All classes are held from 5:00& PM TO 7:00 PM at the Innovation Arts Center in Millville, NJ​

April 2023 (MANAGlNG MENTAL HEALTH):    

        
  • Mental Health Matters! (4/3/23) - Participants will define mental health. Participants will also review and discuss the importance of mental health.
  • Emotional Awareness (4/5/23) - Participants will review the importance ofbeing aware of their emotions and how emotions can impact their everyday lives.
  • Demystifying Therapy (4/10/23) - Participants will learn the importance of mental health practices.
  • ​Selfcare Strategies (4/12/23) - Participants will review and identify healthy self-care practices.​

May 2023 (JOB READINESS):
     
  • ​Resume Building (5/1/23) - Participants will learn the basics of creating and revising a work resume. Participants will also learn the hiring process of reviewing work resumes.
  • Writing Cover Letter (5/3/23) - Participants will learn the basics of creating and revising a cover letter.
  • Interview Skills I Mock Interviews (5/8/23) - Participants will learn and practice
  • appropriate interviewing techniques.​

All classes are held from 5:00& PM TO 7:00 PM at the Innovation Arts Center in Millville, NJ​​  

  


June  2023 Workshops​
June 2023 (COMPUTER BASICS)​:
 
  • Keyboarding 101 (6/5/23) - Participants will learn the basic functions of the computer keyboard. Participants will also learn helpful typing strategies.
  • Intro to Excel (6/7123) - Participants will learn the basics and practice utilizing
  • PowerPoint.
  • Navigating Your Email (6/12/23) - Participants will learn the fundamental basics of navigating Google and Outlook.  

All classes are held from 5:00& PM TO 7:00 PM at the Innovation Arts Center in Millville, NJ​​
