RCSJ Adult Center for Transition:
INFORMATION SESSIONS FOR NEW CUMBERLAND PROGRAM AVAILABLE
The Adult Center for Transition (ACT) at Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ) will host virtual information sessions for individuals with developmental and other disabilities, their families and educational professionals interested in the services and programs provided on the College's Cumberland campus.
RCSJ's Cumberland campus will hold two, Live Virtual information sessions on Wednesday, April 21 and Thursday, April 29. The ACT Live Online Zoom information sessions take place from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. This is a free event. Registration is required.
The information sessions regarding RCSJ – Cumberland campus' new ACT program will provide details about the College's admissions process, program options and agency links to New Jersey's Division of Developmental Disabilities and Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services. The Center's mission is to afford young adults with disabilities the academic, vocational and socialization skills necessary to become independent and contributing members of society. The program focuses on workforce readiness and targets academic, social and vocational education. All ACT students will participate in the Employment First program, providing students with linkages to community-based employment, job sampling experiences and more. As an approved service provider for the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities, eligible candidates may be able to receive financial assistance to attend the RCSJ ACT program.
