Day of Commencement
Graduates, please report to the driveway near parking lot M, wearing your cap and gown, no later than 3:15 PM on May 12, 2022.
When walking towards lot M, there will be mandatory check-in tables. Please approach the table according to your last name: Grads A-F, Grads G-M, and Grads N-Z. At the table, a college employee will check you in and give you an index card with your name, major, and your number in line. Students are expected to be in line at their assigned place by 3:45 pm. Graduates that are not present are removed from the list of participants and may not enter the line.
Please respect your fellow graduates and Commencement speakers! You are expected to participate in the full ceremony and celebrate the achievements of your fellow classmates as they did for you. The ceremony is approximately 1.5 hours long so please plan accordingly!
Following graduation, the photo tent will be in Lot K. All graduates and guests are invited to take pictures to commemorate this special occasion. Please be respectful of your time in this tent so all can get their special photos and moments with friends and family.
Parking, Guests, and Handicap Accessibility
Due to traffic congestion, parking becomes limited; carpooling is strongly encouraged. We ask that graduates use the CCTEC parking lot and walk over to the ceremony. Please allow extra time for parking and walking across campus. Also, please advise parents and guests to be seated by 4:00 PM.
There is no limit on guests per student, but please note that there is limited seating available. It is encouraged for guests to bring their own lawn or beach chairs if they wish to sit during the ceremony.
No guests are permitted under the tent before or during the ceremony. Once the ceremony is over and the platform, faculty, and staff have exited the tent, guests may take photos in front and on stage. In addition, aisles must remain clear during the ceremony.
For handicap accessibility, please email [email protected] for information.
Professional photographers, Grad Images, will be taking pictures of each graduate receiving their diploma cover. The photographer will contact you by mail to determine if you would like to purchase pictures. For information, please contact: Grad Images -Phone: 1-800- 261-2576, e-mail: [email protected], or www.gradimages.com.
The ceremony (rain or shine) will be live streamed the night of the event and in the Guaracini Fine and Performing Arts Building Theater at the college. The Campus Commencement Ceremony Live Stream will also be available via Zoom link the night of the event.
In the event of SEVERE weather (i.e.. safety issue), there will be no outside ceremony. The college will host a diploma pick-up event on Wednesday, May 18 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Please check the college website if severe weather is forecasted and your college email for time specifics.
