Financial Aid at Gloucester

Deadlines

Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Rowan College of South Jersey will accept FAFSAs on a rolling basis during the academic year. However, it cannot guarantee that students filing their applications after the May 1 priority deadline will have their financial aid awarded by the fall and/or spring payment due dates.

  • June 1, 2024 – priority deadline; students are encouraged to complete 2023-2024 FAFSA by this date for Fall enrollment.

  • June 30, 2025 – final deadline for filing the 2024-2025 FAFSA. (This is an important date for students attending RCSJ for the summer 2025 term. The Rowan College of South Jersey (Glouc​ester) federal school code 006901 must be added to the 2024-2025 FAFSA before June 30.)

  • May 1, 2024 – priority deadline; students are encouraged to complete 2023-2024 FAFSA by this date.​​

State Student Aid (HESAA)

FAFSA Filing Deadlines

The FAFSA must be received by the federal processor (not postmarked) by the following dates to be considered for the NJ TAG, STARS and EOF programs:

​​Returning Students/Renewal Applicants

  • May 1, 2024 – renewal applicants; FAFSA filing deadline for returning students who received any New Jersey state aid d​​uring the 2023-2024 year.

​New Students/Non-Renewa​l Applicants

  • ​​​​​​​Sept. 15, 2024 – new/non​-renewal applicants; FAFSA filing deadline for all other students interested in obtaining state ​aid for either full academic year or Fall semester only.

  • ​Feb. 15, 2024 – new/non-renewal applicants​; FAFSA filing deadline for Spring-only aid.


State Grant Record Deadlines

Students must have completed HESAA State Grant Records (Applicant Information Requests, state verification, corrections, etc.) by the following dates. These are the deadlines for reporting additional information, making corrections and submitting requested documentation to the State of New Jersey. 

​​Returning Students/Renewal Applicants

​​Students who received state aid (TAG, STARS, EOF) during the 2023-2024 year are considered renewal applicants.​

  • Nov. 1, 2024 – deadline for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters.

  • Feb. 1, 2024 — deadline for Spring 2025 semester only. 

​New Students/Non-Renewal Applicants

​​​Students who did not a​pply and receive state aid (TAG, STARS, EOF) during the 2023-2024 year are considered new/non-renewal applicants. ​

  • Oct. 1, 2024 — deadline for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters. 

  • Mar. 1, 2025 – deadline for Spring 2025 semester only​.


College Code Change Deadlines

All students who are attending Rowan College, and want to receive state aid at the College, must specify this with HESAA. All students have until the following ​​deadlines to update their school choice as RCSJ-Gloucester(state college code 2281). 

  • Oct. 1, 2024 — all applicants; deadline for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025.

  • Mar. 1, 2025 — all applicants; deadline for Spring 2025​ semester only.
