My name is Elisabeth Amilcare and I am a 2017 graduate of Winslow Township High School. I am currently a Health Science major and plan on graduating with my Associate's in Applied Sciences in Spring 2019. I chose NJ STARS because I wanted to utilize the benefits I earned through my hard work in high school. NJ STARS has helped me save money on my education in addition to receiving similar opportunities that a four-year university provides. I am beyond thankful for the benefits that NJ STARS has given me. I am also a member of RCGC's Phi Theta Kappa, the community college honor society. After graduation, I plan on transferring into the Bachelor's of Science Nursing Program at Rutgers University – Camden. I then plan on completing my Master's degree so that I can become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. NJ STARS is helping me reach my goals by keeping me on an affordable path to receiving an education and successful career.
My name is Gabrielle Barnabie and I graduated from Williamstown High School in 2017. I am currently working to get my Associate's degree in Education here at Rowan College at Gloucester County. I then plan to get my Bachelor's by 2021 at Rowan University and find a teaching position in my area. I am co-treasurer of the Teachers 2000 Club (T2K) and a member of Phi Theta Kappa. NJ STARS has greatly lessened the overall cost of college. I only have to pay for fees and textbooks. Without the STARS program, it would have been more difficult to pursue my academic and career goals. Everyone that I have encountered in this program has always made themselves available to assist me as needed. I am very thankful to be a part of both NJ STARS and RCGC.
My name is Hannah Kustera. I'm 19 years old and I graduated from West Deptford High School in 2017. While in high school, I placed in the top 10% of my class. I am currently studying Computer Graphic Arts with a focus in Interactive and Video Game Design. I plan to graduate with my Associate's degree in Spring 2019. I was awarded NJ STARS because of my high school academic achievements. NJ STARS has helped me with finances because my RCGC tuition is paid off for two years. I will have extra funds to spend on my future education and career that most would have already spent within their first few years of college. I am planning to continue my education in pursuit of my Bachelor's degree. NJ STARS has helped me get a jump-start on my college education.
My name is Kyra Franklin, a 2018 graduate from Glassboro High School. I am currently in the Business Administration program and plan on graduating with my Associate's degree by Summer 2020. After graduation, I will transfer to Rowan University to earn my Bachelor's degree in Business Management with the help of NJ STARS II. I am currently involved in the EOF Program, the Internship Scholarship Program, and the G.O.L.D. Club. NJ STARS has helped make furthering my education even more affordable and will also boost my resume. Not only does the scholarship help me financially, but it also provides a positive learning environment.
