Graduation & Commencement

Gloucester Campus Commencement 2024

​​ ​​The Gloucester Campus Commencement Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.​

The Campus Commencement is a traditional ceremony. Graduates wear ceremonial regalia. Following commencement custom, students will march, listen to graduation speeches, and be acknowledged on stage before the official conferral of degrees. 

Eligible graduates should review the Commencement Checklist for links to complete the official commencement RSVP and order regalia.​

Students must complete a graduation application to be invited to participate in commencement. For instructions on applying to graduate, click here. ​Students who are eligible to participate in commencement received official communication through their RCSJ email. Regalia pickup for those that chose ship to store is now available in the bookstore. Stop in person or call 856-415-2249 as soon as possible. ​​​


COMMENCEMENT REHEARSAL

Student Life hosts a commencement rehearsal and celebration for all graduating students on Wednesday, May 8 at 11 a.m. All graduates are encouraged to attend this free and fun event, but rehearsal attendance​ is not required. Please arrive early and check in outside of the Education and Humanities Center. Guests are not invited to rehearsal. When you attend rehearsal, you will receive your exclusive graduation gifts and commemorative announcement card. After the rehearsal, stick around for some complimentary refreshments from Mister Softee and Chilly Banana.​ We encourage all graduates to attend rehearsal to prepare for the campus commencement. You will see where you line up and where you will be seated for the ceremony when you attend rehearsal. If you are unable to attend rehearsal, its ok! Just make sure you check your email for final details about commencement lineup prior to May ​10. 

COMMENCEMENT DAY

PLEASE NOTE: The Blackwood-Ba​rnsboro Road entrance is closed due to roadwork. Enter the campus via the Tanyard Road entrances.

Guests are invited and encouraged to attend Commencement on May 10. Tickets are not required. Students may invite as many guests as they would like to attend the ceremony. The ceremony will start on time, so guests should arrive by 10:15 a.m. for the 11 a.m. ceremony. Handicapped Parking is available in Lot D for those with the appropriate decal. Indoor, air-cond​itioned alternate viewing locations for commencement will be available in Rastelli Business and Corporate Center, Room 500 and Education and Humanities Center, Room 430. Air-conditioned relaxation areas, water fountains, and bathrooms for guests are available in the Student Services building. 

Student Group Photo Schedule
Students in select cohorts are invited to participate in group photos with their classmates prior to the Commencement ceremony at the following location and times. Please be five minutes early. Pictures will be taken on time and if you miss yours, we will not retake!​
