Registration

The Rowan College South Jersey, Cumberland Campus Science Research Competition serves as a Regional Fair for the Delaware Valley Science Fair.  As such, we will be adhering to the guidelines and rules outlined in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) rulebook.

For further information, please visit the Delaware Valley Science Fair website at www.dvsf.org or select "rules" from our menu.

You can download the required registration forms from our website (see Required Forms) or the Delaware Valley Science Fair website at www.dvsf.org.  As soon as possible, students should complete and submit:

  • Research plan
  • ISEF Form 1
  • ISEF Form 1a
  • ISEF Form 1b
  • ISEF Form 3 and
  • any other ISEF forms that are required due to the nature of that student's experiment (see SRC approval section below).

Each teacher who is sponsoring students will upload the required documents for their students into a STEM Wizard.

Team projects must have a complete set of paperwork completed for each team member.

We welcome early paperwork submission. This will allow for early detection of projects that may need approval and additional forms before research begins.

Please review your students' paperwork for thoroughness and completeness, as incomplete forms will be returned.

Please note that research CANNOT begin for projects involving Vertebrate Animals, Humans or Potentially Hazardous Biological Agents until approval is received by the CCC/DVSF-SRC. Examples of commonly submitted experiments that require approval include:  culturing any bacteria (such as setting food out to decompose); experimenting on the family pet, fish or amphibians; surveying classmates or family members by questionnaire or behavioral/physical observations.  Additionally, experiments involving hazardous chemicals, hazardous devices and those presenting an incendiary and/or other hazard, could require additional approvals. The Rowan College South Jersey, Cumberland Campus Scientific Review Committee (SRC) will meet and review all research plans and provide feedback on paperwork necessary to receive approval on a regular basis.

An appointment can be set up with each school with the Science Competition Review Committee to review and confirm your school's paperwork.  Initial paperwork review appointments will occur from Late December through January 26, 2024. Please contact us if you would like an appointment to review submissions.
