The Adult Center for Transition is a post-secondary program for individuals with disabilities that provides education and employment opportunities to be successful in the workplace.
Programs:
Fundamentals of College
Students will leave this program with:
• a career pathway and workplace experience
• preparation for college placement test
• one 3-credit college course subsidized by RCSJ
• preparation for accessing college resources
• 1 RCSJ College credit
Workforce Readiness
Students will leave this program with:
• a career pathway and a career-ready portfolio
• a credential/certification that matches their career goal
• workplace experience
• 1 RCSJ College credit
Credential/certification are on an individual basis per student interest/goal
ACT/Employment First
All ACT students will participate in the Employment First program. Students will leave this 2-year program with:
• job sampling experiences
• job shadowing experiences
• reverse job fair experience
• linkages to community-based employment
This program is designed as a 2-year cohort with a third year option

Mission statement
The mission of the Rowan College of South Jersey Adult Center for Transition is to afford young adults with disabilities, vocational and socialization skills necessary to become independent and contributing members of society.
Schedule
• Program runs concurrent with Rowan College of South Jersey Gloucester Campus calendar
• Program is available for 1–3 years; length of enrollment based on personal growth and development
• Program hours are typically 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
• Extracurricular programming offered on Fridays
• Six-week summer session available
Tuition
• Tuition is based on semester and county of residence — call for current rates
• Financial assistance may be available through RCSJ Foundation for eligible candidates
