Reilly Memorial Golf Tournament

VINELAND—The CEO Group, which is comprised of nearly 50 of the largest businesses in Cumberland County has a long tradition of supporting education. The acronym for the CEO Group stands for the “communication, education and opportunity." The CEO Group commitment to education began with support of the School Counts! initiative when it was established and has continued with the full scholarships provided to Cumberland County residents to Rowan College of South Jersey, Cumberland Campus.

"This year, the CEO Group Board of Trustees authorized a contribution of $25,000 to the School Counts! scholarship program administered by the Cumberland County Educational Foundation to demonstrate its continued support for this fund as well as to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the organizing of the CEO Group in 1996. This contribution is in addition to contributions the CEO Group members may make as individuals or through their businesses. County colleges continue to provide the best value for continued education and the CEO Group is honored to enthusiastically support the School Counts! program. "- Statement of Louis N. Magazzu, Executive Director of The CEO Group

School Counts! exemplifies the core values that make the community strong. The program encourages and rewards high school students for the development of skills necessary for college success: punctuality, discipline, hard work, and motivation to achieve goals. In order to earn a School Counts! certificate in each year of high school, a student must:
  • maintain a 95% or better attendance record;
  • achieve a higher-than-average GPA;
  • successfully complete Algebra I; and
  • be scheduled to graduate from high school on time.
