This program provides the general education
foundation and program content required for
students who are planning to transfer to a
baccalaureate degree in a Secondary Education
Social Studies Certification program.
Program Learning Outcomes
Students who have completed the program
should be able to:
- Communicate effectively in writing
and orally
- Demonstrate an understanding of various
scientific, artistic, social, and historical
ideas and perspectives
- Demonstrate foundational knowledge of
political science
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of the
teaching profession, educational systems,
and pedagogy
