Center for Family Services - $5000.00
Through new experiences in dance, music and creative writing projects homeless youth, ages 13-19, will be provided a new way to express themselves and feel accepted under the guidance of an art therapist. By creating art, and experiencing the arts through field trips, the youth improve mental health, emotional health, and self-esteem.

City of Woodbury – Art in the Streets - $4750.00
Art in the Streets provides free art instruction to children ages 7-12 for seven weeks over the course of the summer. Sessions are held at seven different locations throughout Woodbury in order to make the program accessible to all children. Following each art activity, children are invited to take home an age appropriate book to promote literacy during the summer months.

Gloucester County Children’s Choir - $4527.00
The Gloucester County Children’s Choir provides high quality musical training and performance opportunities to young singers age 10-16. Programming is available to all interested children regardless of gender, race, creed or disability. Funding will provide the support necessary to maintain a high caliber artistic experience for all choristers as well as to provide guest artists for the choir’s programming.

Gloucester County Parks Theater Program - $4200.00
The Gloucester County Parks Theater Program provides theater instruction and performance opportunity for children ages 8-12 and 13-17, with the junior program is held in two different locations to accommodate its popularity. The teen program provides opportunities for teen volunteers to perform as well as to work behind the scenes or play in the orchestra. Both programs culminate in the performance of a musical production.

Hispanic Center for Family Services - $2394.00
Funding will support a series of workshops dedicated to Hispanic Folklore with an emphasis on Mexican arts and culture. Participants will learn about Aztec and Mayen art, Hispanic folktales and how Mexican culture has impacted art and artistic techniques. Projects will be on display throughout the year at various events for public viewing and will include information about various Mexican artists.

Music at Bunker Hill - $5500.00
Music at Bunker Hill preserves the tradition of classical music in South Jersey through a series of affordable, appealing and accessible concerts. In addition to enhancing cultural life for South Jersey residents, underserved communities are reached through collaboration with ArtReach Philadelphia and youth education programs.

Puerto Rican Action Committee (PRAC) - $3500
Funding will be used to host a Hispanic/Latino cultural and heritage music festival at Gloucester County’s Dream Park with the goal to provide GC residents with a way to experience culturally diverse music and preserving Hispanic/Latino heritage.
Sketch Club Players – $4090.00
The Sketch Club Players will bring the legendary Broadway musical A Chorus Line to the stage of the Rowan College at Gloucester County Fine Arts Center weekends January 15-30, 2016. The production will recreate the choreography, orchestrations and costumes from the original Broadway production. The run of the show will include a special student talk back night.

Washington TWP Historic Preservation Committee - $1852
Funding will help WTHPC partner with Music at Bunker Hill to bring an afternoon music concert to their location during Spring 2017. The concert would take place in the original Bunker Hill Church, located in the village. The concert would have a historic focus, featuring the music of the year of the church’s founding - 1869.
West Deptford Free Public Library - $4800.00
Funding will support a Special Arts Project through which a diverse audience will gain a healthy appreciation for the performing arts as well as the wellness, fitness and health of one’s own mind, body and soul. It will be an integral part of the West Deptford Book Festival and will include a variety of performing artists who will focus on the program’s theme: Wellness is the Word… Fitness & Health the Ways.

Woodbury Public Library – 1000.000
Funding will support a monthly arts and literature after- school program for children ages 6-12. Each event will feature an art project and related book based on a specific seasonal theme. Children will have the opportunity to create a craft project and then hear the librarian read a related book. Older participants will be encouraged to participate as support for the younger children.

FY17 New Jersey Historical Commission $15,000
This program is made possible in part through funds from the New Jersey Historical Commission, a division of the Department of State and the Cultural & Heritage Commission at Rowan College at Gloucester County.
Glassboro Historic Preservation Commission $3000
GHPC seeks funding to preserve and memorialize a cemetery founded in 1779 and located on North Main Street in Glassboro that has historic relevance and ties to the town. Located within the site are the graves of the founding family of Glassboro as well as other early settlers. The group plans on using the funds to catalog the headstones and create a booklet about the cemetery as well as overall maintenance to the site to make it more inviting for visitors. The long range plan is to have the site be placed on State and National Historic Registries to preserve it for the future.
Historical & Educational Lodge-Hall Preservatory, Inc $2000
The program will be a celebration on Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day which will include a high school choir and jazz band, local dancers, recitations of King’s speeches, community service awards, art and essay contests, and tours of the historic Richardson Avenue School.
Swedesboro Economic Development Committee & Swedesboro/Woolwich Historical Society

Located in the New Trinity Cemetery lies the remains of Brigadier General Louis H. Carpenter, who severed in the Civil War (14 major campaigns), Indian Wars and the Spanish-American War. Carpenter was the regimental commander of the 5th U.S.Colored Cavalry Regiment and the Buffalo Soldiers of the 10th U.S. Cavalry. We plan to have a re-enactor tell the story of Carpenter, his importance in the Civil War and to the Buffalo Soliders. Re-enactors will also represent the Buffalo Soldiers, General Charles Harker and Governor Stratton.
Washington TWP Historic Preservation Committee $2,000
2017 grant funding request will assist in the support of events held at the Olde Stone House Village to include the Harvest Festival, a two-day Civil War Encampment and the Christmas Polar Express. This year the committee would like to expand their programming to include evening hands-on workshop experiences.
Whitall House at Red Bank Battlefield $1250
Through a community reading and on-site programming, historians, biologists, historic foodways experts, practicing shad fisherman and others will explore with the public why and how our relationship to shad and the Delaware River has changed over time, using the historic fishery at Red Bank Battlefield Park as a case study.
West Deptford Free Public Library $5000
The WDFPL plans on promoting Native American culture throughout the year with various activities to include a mini pow-wow, poetry reading, Native American craft and bilingual storytelling. All activities will take place at the library and will be family friendly and open to all ages.
