Earn College Credit in High School Through RCSJ’s Collegiate High School Program
Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ) is proud to offer high school students the opportunity to earn
a 30-credit Certificate in Business Administration through our Collegiate High School program.
This flexible, career-focused program allows students to begin building a college transcript while still in high school—saving time and money, and positioning students for early degree completion and transfer success.
Program Benefits

Program Structure
Year 1: Foundation Courses
Typically completed during the Sophomore Year
- CISM101 – Introduction to Computers (4 cr.)*
- ENGL101 – English Composition I (3 cr.)*
- MATH103 – Statistics I (3 cr.)*
Year 2: Business Core Courses Typically completed during the Junior Year
- ACCT101 – Accounting I (4 cr.)
- BUSN200 – Principles of Management (3 cr.)
- ECON102 – Principles of Economics (Micro) (3 cr.)*
Year 3: Specialization CoursesTypically completed the summer before Senior Year
- ACCT102 – Accounting II (4 cr.)
- BUSN109 – Business Law I (3 cr.)

Note: Program design and course sequencing are subject to change based on each high school’s course offerings and scheduling. Students should consult with their high school counselor or an RCSJ advisor for a personalized academic plan.
Flexible Completion Options
Students can complete the required 30 credits through a combination of the following:
- Dual Credit
- High School Option Program (HSOP)
- Advanced Placement (AP)
- CLEP Examinations
Note: Per RCSJ Policy 3103, students must complete at least 50% of the certificate credits through coursework taken at RCSJ. Dual Credit and HSOP courses count toward this requirement. AP and CLEP credits are considered transfer credit and may be limited accordingly.
The Business Administration Certificate is designed to apply seamlessly toward the A.S. in Business Administration at RCSJ.
Students may also apply these credits toward related RCSJ degrees in:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Digital Marketing
- Entrepreneurship
- Human Resource Management
Note:
While all 30 credits are accepted, programs outside of the A.S. in Business Administration will require course substitutions. These will be approved on a case-by-case basis by the Dean of Business Studies.
