P and AP (REAFFIRM) 8103 Criminal History Background Checks for Students
 

                                   Background for Policy and AP reaffirmations:

                                   This policy and AP were reaffirmed by specific individuals from both Cumberland and Gloucester campuses who worked collaboratively to review this policy. 

                                            P and AP (REVISE) 8105 Placement Testing, Foundation Courses, and Testing Exemptions

                                   Background for policy revision and AP development:

                                           This policy was revised to strengthen verbiage and unify the website address for the Cumberland and Gloucester campuses.  The AP was revised as a result of combining the separate Gloucester and Cumberland campus documents.

                                           P (REVISE) 8107 Testing Services and AP (REVISE) 8107.1 Cumberland and 8107.2 Gloucester

                                    Background for policy and AP revisions:

                                            This policy was revised to provide updated information for the location of the Gloucester campus testing center location.  The APs were revised with updated testing locations and documents.

                                            P and AP (REVISE) 8111 Preferred Name

                                    Background for policy and revisions:

                                          This policy was revised to strengthen verbiage for defining the term “Preferred Name”.  The AP provides additional clarification regarding preferred first name and legal name.

                                           P and AP (REVISE) 8201 Academic Amnesty

                                    Background for policy and revisions:

                                           This policy was revised to further define the criteria for a student to qualify for academic amnesty. The AP includes information to support a student who does not meet the criteria for academic amnesty.

                                           P (REAFFIRM) and AP (REVISION) 8203 Student Attendance Documentation

                                    Background for policy reaffirmation and AP revisions:

                                           This policy was reaffirmed by specific individuals from both Cumberland and Gloucester campuses who worked collaboratively to review this policy.  The AP was revised to provide additional information and clarification regarding student attendance documentation for each campus.​

Background for policy reaffirmation and AP revision:

                                   This policy was reaffirmed by specific individuals from both Cumberland and Gloucester campuses who worked collaboratively to review this policy.​

                                           P and AP (REVISED) 8005 Student Appeals

                                   Background for policy and AP revision:

                                   This policy was revised to provide additional information regarding Cumberland and Gloucester campus office locations and individuals to contact for appeals.  All other content remains intact.  Upon review, by this policy team, additional procedural information was provided in administrative procedure 8005.1, 8005.2, 8005.3, and 8005.4.

3109 Awarding a Degree Posthumously

Background for policy and AP development:
This policy and administrative procedure was developed to award an honorary degree, posthumously, to a student who has passed away prior to completing all degree requirements, in extraordinary circumstances.
 
5103 Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)​

Background for policy revision and AP development:
This policy was revised to remove redundancy in verbiage.  The administrative procedure was reviewed and revised by both campus Facilities Departments in order to further align practices and notification information from the Gloucester and Cumberland campuses to formulate one comprehensive document. 

8007.2 Face Covering and Social Distancing in Pandemics

Background for AP development:
This administrative procedure was developed by Student Services in order to establish student guidelines for safe practices during a pandemic while attending College sponsored courses/programs.
 
9011 Lost and Found

Background for AP development:
This administrative procedure was reviewed and revised by both campus Safety and Security Departments in order to further align practices and notification information from the Gloucester and Cumberland campuses to formulate one comprehensive document. 
 
9013 Parking and Traffic
 
Background for policy revision and AP development:
​This policy was revised to align introductory wording with the AP.  The AP was reviewed and revised by both campus Safety and Security Departments in order to further align practices and notification information from the Gloucester and Cumberland campuses to formulate one comprehensive document.

3003 Grading System and Grade Point Average (GPA)

Background for policy and AP development:

​This new policy and administrative procedure was developed as a result of committee review and combining of previous separate policies from the Gloucester and Cumberland campuses in order to formulate one comprehensive document.

The following Administrative Procedures were revised for current contact information.

AP 7001 – Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity (AA/EEO)

AP 7011 – Harassment and Discrimination

AP 7013 – Sexual Misconduct and the Rights of Victims

AP 7017 – Conscientious Employee Protection (Whistleblower)

AP 8003 – Anti-Bullying and Intimidation

Note: Policy 3003 Distance Learning has been renumbered to 3013.


July 14​, 2020 Board of Trustees Meeting ​

 

4005 Online Proctoring

Background for policy and AP development:

This new policy and administrative procedure was developed in order to prepare for situations in which the College's campuses are physically closed and specific online proctoring licensure is available to be utilized.

​4007 Learning Management System (LMS)

Background for policy and AP development:

This new policy and administrative procedure was developed to ensure the College meets identity verification requirements and creates a seamless learning experience for students for courses, regardless of course instructional method.

 

4009 Web Conferencing

Background for policy and AP development:

This new policy and administrative procedure was developed to ensure security and privacy of data during synchronous online communication (also known as web conferencing).

 

7107.1 Families First Coronavirus Response Act

Background for AP development:

This new administrative procedure was developed as a result of legislation passed by the Federal Government Department of Labor.  The Act requires certain employers to provide employees with paid sick leave or expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19.

 

7421 Telecommuting for Employees

Background for policy and AP development:

This new policy and administrative procedure was developed as a result of establishing guidelines for employees to work in a setting other than the regularly assigned designation.

 

7503 Safe Opening

Background for policy development:

This new policy was developed in order to adhere to the executive orders established by state and federal governmental agencies, as well as, medical institution guidelines during the global pandemic.  This policy adheres to New Jersey Statute and federal law. 

 

8209 Military Activation

Background for policy and AP development:

This new policy and administrative procedure was developed to comply with N.J.S.A. 18A:62-4.2 which provides options available to a student who is unable to complete a course as a result of being called to partial or full mobilization for state or federal active duty.  This policy continues to adhere to New Jersey Statute and federal law.  

 

8407 Military Tuition Assistance Funds

Background for policy and AP development:

This new policy and administrative procedure was developed to comply with the Department of Defense's Memorandum of Understating (MOU), Return of Unearned Tuition Assistance Funds. ​The MOU aligns with Federal Student Aid rules Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965.  This policy continues to adhere to applicable New Jersey Statute and federal law.

 
Note​: Policy and AP 2019 Acceptable Use of Technological Resources have been renumbered to 4001.
