​​​TEAS — Test of Essential Academic S​​​kills

Though not required for the Nursing or Allied Health programs at RCSJ, the TEAS test (Version V) is an assessment for other area nursing programs. 

The TEAS test is issued at the Rowan College Testing Center; however, all scheduling and payment must be handled online at:

The test includes four content areas: reading, mathematics, science, and English and language usage.

A study guide, Study Manual for the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) - Version V, is available for purchase at the Rowan College bookstore.

What do I bring to the Testing Center?
 You must bring a photo ID and leave your cell phone in the car.

Where is the test issued?
The test is given at the Rowan College Testing Center.

What is on the test?
Reading, Math, Science and English.

Is the test timed?
Yes, the test is timed within the computer itself and takes 3.5 hours.

May I use a calculator?
No, calculators are not permitted.

When do I receive my results?
Results are available immediately after the test is completed.

What is the passing score for the test?
The passing score will depend on the school to which you are applying.

How many times may I take the test?
You may take the test as many times as you like, but the number of times that you take  it is recorded on the score sheet.
