Elections of Chapter Officers for the 2020-2021 academic year will take place during the spring 2020 semester. Listed below is information regarding the available positions, deadlines, and responsibilities. Positions open for election
- Chapter President
- Vice-President for Social Media
- Vice-President for Chapter History
- Chapter Secretary
All officer positions are expected to participate in meetings and productively contribute to the progress and growth of the Chapter.
If you are planning to run for President or Secretary, these positions incur a high level of responsibility and may be more demanding of your time than other positions. If this is not possible, then please consider the other positions as they are as equally important, but typically require less time commitments. Officers are expected to meet regularly during the summer months to plan and develop projects for the upcoming academic year including the College Project and Honors in Action Project, two of our hallmark assignments.
Timeline for Elections
April 1, 2020 - Application packet is due
April 28, 2020 - Candidate profiles will be listed on the website
May 6 - 10, 2020 - Election ballots will be open for all PTK members
End of May - Officer Installation Ceremony
