The College Project is an endeavor the Alpha Psi Pi Chapter does in collaboration with the college administration that directly supports the college’s mission. In other words, it’s the chapter helping the administration meet their goals. The College Project increases the communication and working relationship between the chapter and the college.
College Project 2018
The 2018-2019 PTK Middle States Regional Officers aimed to unify the region in a massive month of events to help disadvantaged communities through service. The officers wanted to bring vital attention to the hunger issues that impact the region and have one crucial goal in mind: to empower fellow Phi Theta Kappa members to positively impact their communities by addressing hunger.
As a result of the efforts set forth by the Middle States Regional Officers, the Alpha Psi Pi Chapter at RCGC decided to host a food drive during the month of November. The purpose of the food drive was an effort to restock Roadrunner’s Refuel, our on-campus pantry created to fight food insufficiency. The feedback for the project was so positive, that the chapter officers decided to extend the length of the project throughout December. As a result of the efforts made by the members of Phi Theta Kappa, the following list are some of the items that were collected:
|72 Cup of Noodles||32 Fruit Cups||69 Snack Bars|
|59 Fruit Bars||24 Granola Bars||16 Oatmeal Packs|
|53 Cracker Packs||6 Poptart Packs||8 Tuna Packs|
|28 Cans of Soup||18 Cans of Pasta||12 Applesauce Packs|
Members of Phi Theta Kappa would like to say THANK YOU to all of those who contributed to the food drive. Without your effort, this project would not have been a success!
