This program requires a portfolio with a checklist of duties, which must be completed by the deadline for admission consideration.

  • Portfolio Opens: July 6, 2026
  • Final Deadline: September 11, 2026 at 5 p.m.
  • Decision Sent: October 13, 2026

Upon successful completion of the Nursing program, students are eligible to apply for state licensure and take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). The Nursing program is approved by The New Jersey Board of Nursing and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

While the program is offered at both Gloucester and Cumberland, applicants may only submit a portfolio to one campus. An applicant who submits a portfolio for both campuses will be denied entry on both campuses.

  • All applicants must attend ONE information session from the dates below prior to submission of a portfolio.
  • Advance registration is required for all sessions.
  • Information sessions for the Nursing and PN programs do not count.
  • Please note the format of the information sessions before registering.
  • All information sessions will start promptly at the posted time and last about 1.5 – 2 hours.
  • Late entries (10 minutes past start time) will be prohibited. Plan accordingly!

Nursing, LPN-RN Frequently Asked Questions

The LPN-RN Track program is designed for students who wish to enter the healthcare profession as a Registered Nurse (RN). The program combines general education with nursing courses to prepare current licensed practical nurses (LPN) for entry-level Registered Nursing (RN) practice. 

Students who apply to the LPN-RN Track program must hold a current Practical Nursing (PN) license in good standing and have graduated from an accredited PN program. 

LPN-RN is available at Gloucester and Cumberland.

Admission to the Nursing Program is highly competitive. There is no guarantee of admission, even if an applicant exceeds minimum program admission criteria in one or more areas.

Associate in Applied Science, Nursing

Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensing Examination (NCLEX-RN) and apply to the Board of Nursing for licensure as registered nurses.

3.5 semesters, which is 1.5 academic years

It is dependent on clinical site availability and faculty availability

It is a daytime, weekday program with 3-4 days per week in nursing activities. 1-2 days of clinical, 1 day lecture, 1 day skills lab.

You will be prepared to move into an RN-BSN program at institutions like Rowan, Wilmington, Drexel, and more. Nursing is eligible for the 3+1 program at Rowan University.
