Student-Centered. Data-Backed. Research-Driven.

From Engineering to Agriculture, Physics to Biology, Cybersecurity to Veterinary Technology — Rowan College of South Jersey’s STEM Division offers the perfect solution for you. Prepare for success in the STEM fields with honors research programs offered in cooperation with Rowan University and Princeton University; or take advantage of programs that save you time and money, like Pre-Pharm D., which lets you bypass a bachelor’s degree and proceed directly into a doctoral program.

The STEM Division provides access to one-of-a-kind degree and certificate programs, research lab experiences, internship opportunities, and personalized advisement to prepare students for success in the hard sciences. The division is home to 30+ degree and certificate options ranging from classic STEM programs like Biology, Chemistry, or Mathematics to unexpected offerings like Agribusiness, Horticulture, or Equine Science. No matter which program you select, you will enjoy small class sizes and easy access to faulty members who become mentors.

Both campuses are home to active STEM-related clubs that help you find your campus community while fostering curiosity, ingenuity, and creativity; enhancing key skills; and preparing you to become an inspiration to the next generation of STEM scholars with visits to local grade schools.

Your next big opportunity is waiting for you at RCSJ’s STEM Division.

Meet the Dean

“When we say the STEM Division is committed to student success, we really mean it. We’re not just committed to ensuring our students successfully complete two years of education here at RCSJ; we keep track of our students. We celebrate all of their wins along the way.

Our students not only successfully transfer into 4-year institutions, but many of them go on to Ph.D. programs, medical schools, veterinary schools, pharmacy schools – and we’re so proud of them. When we commit to our students, we commit to their entire academic journey.”

Diane Trace leads the development and management of STEM programs across the Gloucester and Cumberland campuses. With a deep commitment to aligning academic initiatives with industry needs, she has played a pivotal role in expanding RCSJ’s program offerings, securing accreditations, and developing innovative curricula to prepare students for real-world success.

Specialized Accreditations

RCSJ has submitted an application seeking initial accreditation for the Veterinary Technology A.A.S. program from The American Veterinary Medical Association Committee on Veterinary Technology Education and Activities. Though the Veterinary Technology program at RCSJ intends to attain accreditation, there is no guarantee that it will be granted. Students will be kept informed as to the status of accreditation.
