Lily Rizzo and the new Workforce Development Board Logo
The Workforce Development Board (WDB) is proud to announce the unveiling of its new logo, designed by Lily Rizzo, a Computer Graphic Arts student at Rowan College of South Jersey.
The new logo, created by Rizzo as part of a collaborative project with WDB, represents the shared commitment to advancing workforce development initiatives and educational excellence. The design incorporates modern and dynamic elements, reflecting the opportunities and forward-thinking vision of the Board.
Over the last few decades, The Gloucester County Workforce Development Board and Rowan College of South Jersey have established a strong partnership aimed at better serving local communities and creating new pathways for students and workers. With this new logo, WDB embraces its evolving role within the region’s workforce ecosystem, highlighting its commitment to workforce development, education, and community engagement.
Lily Rizzo, who is currently studying in the college’s Computer Graphic Arts program, designed the logo as part of an academic initiative that encourages students to work on real-world projects. Her design was selected for its innovative approach and professional quality.
“I feel as if today holds large significance, and I’m really happy to be a part of this project,” said Rizzo. “This work is so important for so many lives and I’m honestly just beyond thankful that myself, in the form of this logo, gets to be a small detail that adds up to such a greater picture.”
Originally from Mullica Hill, New Jersey, Lily Rizzo hopes to continue her education at Rowan University in Radio, Television, and Film.
The Workforce Development Board and Rowan College of South Jersey continue to work together to expand career services, training programs, and resources that support the local workforce and economy. This new logo serves as a visual reminder of their shared mission and the transformative power of education and workforce development.
