Program Learning
The Automotive Engine Repair (ASE A1) program is designed to provide students with comprehensive instruction in engine diagnosis and repair. Over a five-week, 30-hour program, students will develop skills in general engine diagnosis; cylinder head and valve train diagnosis and repair; lubrication and cooling system diagnosis and service; and fuel, electrical, ignition, and exhaust system inspection and repair.
Automotive Engine Repair is one of five courses in the Automotive Repair Program at RCSJ. Courses may be taken in any order and are designed to prepare students for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification exams.

Enrollment Instructions
1. Visit our enrollment website and select your course with the appropriate start date.
2. Click “Add to Cart.” You will be prompted to create a new student profile.
3. Complete your enrollment by submitting payment for the course.
4. Download and complete the enrollment packet, if applicable, and send to [email protected] or drop off at the Cumberland or Gloucester CTE Office.
