Program Learning
The Certified Dental Office Assistant (CDOA) program equips students with the essential knowledge and skills to manage the business side of a dental practice. Students will learn communication techniques, accounting procedures, insurance claims, dental terminology, patient scheduling, inventory management, and dental procedures and coding. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to earn their Certified Dental Office Assistant Certification.
Graduates will be prepared to work as dental administrative assistants and gain foundational skills for clinical careers, including expanded functions dental assistant, dental hygienist, or dentist roles. The program also prepares students to take the CDOA exam, demonstrating their expertise and readiness for success in dental office administration.

Enrollment Instructions
1. Visit our enrollment website and select your course with the appropriate start date.
2. Click “Add to Cart.” You will be prompted to create a new student profile.
3. Complete your enrollment by submitting payment for the course.
4. Download and complete the enrollment packet, if applicable, and send to [email protected] or drop off at the Cumberland or Gloucester CTE Office.
