Program Learning Outcomes
The HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Certificate is designed to provide students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to work in the dynamic field of climate control systems. This Certificate covers a wide range of topics, including refrigeration, heating systems, ventilation, air conditioning, system diagnostics, installation, and maintenance. Students will gain hands-on experience working with industry-standard tools and equipment, learning how to install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems in both residential and commercial settings. The program also emphasizes the importance of energy efficiency, indoor air quality, and compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Students who have completed the program will be able to:
- Understand the tools, equipment, diagnostic, and troubleshooting techniques needed in the HVAC industry
- Apply repair and instillation skills in both commercial and residential HVAC systems
- Understand the various climate control systems in both residential and commercial HVAC systems.

Education Unique to Each Student
This program provides a great foundation for a career in the automotive trades – in dealership sales or service positions or different trades like electrical or HVAC. It’s a great stepping stone as a young adult and the possibilities are vast.
