Program Learning Outcomes
This program prepares students for careers in computer-aided drafting. Experts predict that varied technical occupations will be among the hot careers during the next decade. There will be a 30 percent increase in higher-skilled, better-paying occupations in the technical fields, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. With the increased emphasis on technology, 80 percent of these jobs will require more than a high school diploma, but less than a four-year degree. RCSJ works closely with business and industry leaders to keep its Engineering Technologies curricula current.
Students who have completed the program should be able to:
- Apply algebra to analyze simple electrical circuits
- Develop a technical drawing in free hand and computer aided format
- Locate information resources and successfully retrieve data for employment Successfully employ test and measurement equipment

Education Unique to Each Student
My experience at RCSJ has been very community oriented. My participation in the STEM club has been invaluable. I've also made other connections, like at Rowan University and Princeton University, offering one-of-a-kind research opportunities.
