The RCSJ Cumberland and Gloucester Libraries are an integral part of the Rowan College of South Jersey learning experience, and we make every effort to provide the resources and learning environment that students need to achieve their academic goals.
The RCSJ Cumberland and Gloucester Libraries are an integral part of the Rowan College of South Jersey learning experience, and we make every effort to provide the resources and learning environment that students need to achieve their academic goals. Recent research has confirmed that students who use the library are more likely to succeed.
The Libraries are pleased to present their staff, services and collection through our webpages, portal and on our campuses and include: upgraded laptop workstations; online databases; information literacy instruction; academic and popular books; materials accessible through the LOGIN Consortia, which increases the Library’s holdings to over 1 million items; quiet and group study booths; social media; IT Support, and a Library café and Innovation Studio (Gloucester campus only). Additional innovations will be implemented as staff members continue to integrate evolving technologies into the libraries’ services. Most importantly, friendly and helpful staff assist students in their quest for basic information and higher-level research.
Although we are one college, variations in Library hours and service policies exist, so please call or check the portal for specific hours/services/policies.

Library Cards
Your Student ID card is also your RCSJ Library card. To maintain borrowing privileges, this card must be updated and re-validated each semester. Your Student ID card may be used at the RCSJ Library and at numerous other participating libraries in Gloucester, Salem, and Cumberland counties through our consortium, LOGIN Libraries. Lost cards must be reported immediately to avoid unauthorized use.
Need a Library Card? RCSJ students should first report to the Student Services building to receive their Student ID card, then visit the library's Circulation Desk to have it validated. Proof of Rowan College registration is required. Your Student ID card is also your RCSJ Library card. To maintain library borrowing privileges, this card must be updated and re-validated each semester.

A library card can be obtained at the Circulation Desk located in the front of the library. You can also apply for your library card online by completing the Cumberland Library Card form. Library card holders agree to follow all library rules and pay all charges for overdue, lost or damaged materials. Gloucester
Looking for a quiet place to study? The Gloucester Campus library has several rooms available for your private and group study session needs:
- Five group rooms equipped with 72" monitors and large whiteboards for collaborative work. These rooms can accommodate up to 8 people. Bring your own device.
- Seven private or small group rooms equipped with whiteboards. These rooms can accommodate up to 4 people. Whiteboard markers are available upon request from the Circulation Desk.
- Large Seminar Room that can accommodate up to 10 people.
Rooms are available on a first come, first serve basis, but if you wish to book a room in advance, please stop by our Library Circulation Desk or call us at (856) 415-2252.
Cumberland
The library has four open group rooms and one large locked group room available for checkout with a library card. Current students can reserve a group room up to 1 week in advance.
The RCSJ libraries have Circulation Desks for checking out and returning materials, and to request interlibrary loan and course Reserves.
