Nursing, RN

The next RN cohort starts in September 2026.

This program requires a portfolio with a checklist of duties, which must be completed by the deadline for admission consideration.

  • Portfolio Opens: January 5, 2026
  • Final Deadline: February 27, 2026 at 5 p.m.
  • Decision Sent: April 2, 2026
  • Decisions will be sent to your RCSJ student email.
Practical Nursing

Upon successful completion of the Nursing program, students are eligible to apply for state licensure and take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). The Nursing program is approved by The New Jersey Board of Nursing and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

While the program is offered at both Gloucester and Cumberland, applicants may only submit a portfolio to one campus. An applicant who submits a portfolio for both campuses will be denied entry on both campuses.

2026 RN Information Sessions

  • All applicants must attend ONE information session from the dates below prior to submission of a portfolio.
  • Advance registration is required for all sessions.
  • Information sessions for the PN program and the LPN-RN Track do not count.
  • Please note the format of the information sessions before registering.
  • All information sessions will start promptly at the posted time and last about 1.5 – 2 hours.
  • Late entries (10 minutes past start time) will be prohibited. Plan accordingly!

Nursing is available at Gloucester and Cumberland.

Admission to the Nursing Program is highly competitive. There is no guarantee of admission, even if an applicant exceeds minimum program admission criteria in one or more areas.

Associate in Applied Science, Nursing

Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensing Examination (NCLEX-RN) and apply to the Board of Nursing for licensure as registered nurses.

Four semesters, which is two academic years

It is dependent on clinical site availability and faculty availability

It is a daytime, weekday program with 3-4 days per week in nursing activities. 1-2 days of clinical, 1 day lecture, 1 day skills lab.

Students must be at least 18 years old by the first day of the fall semester.

You will be prepared to move into an RN-BSN program at institutions like Rowan, Wilmington, Drexel, and more. Nursing is eligible for the 3+1 program at Rowan University.
