This program requires a portfolio with a checklist of duties, which must be completed by the deadline for admission consideration.

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program prepares the physical therapist assistant to provide physical therapy interventions and components of therapeutic measurement under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
2027 PTA Information Sessions
- All applicants must attend ONE information session from the dates below prior to submission of a portfolio.
- All information sessions will take place via Zoom Webinar unless otherwise noted.
- Advance registration is required for all sessions.
- All information sessions will start promptly at the posted time and last about 1.5 – 2 hours.
- Late entries (10 minutes past start time) will be prohibited. Plan accordingly!

Graduates from the PTA Program at RCSJ earn an Associate in Applied Science, Physical Therapist Assistant
Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to apply to take the National Physical Therapy Examination for Physical Therapist Assistants to determine competence for licensure.
Five semesters, which is two academic years
There is a maximum cohort size of 18 students accepted each year.
It is a daytime, weekday program with the technical phase courses being 4-5 days per week, and requires extensive clinical rotations in year two.
