Program Learning
In Basic Hydraulic Systems, students learn to follow fluid power safety practices and interpret basic hydraulic schematics. Training includes starting up and shutting down hydraulic systems, adjusting system pressure, and controlling actuator speed using flow control valves. Students also gain hands-on experience servicing hydraulic fluid and filters, installing hydraulic conductors, assembling and testing components in basic hydraulic circuits, and troubleshooting system issues. Upon completion, students will sit for the NIMS Basic Hydraulic Systems credential.

Enrollment Instructions
1. Visit our enrollment website and select your course with the appropriate start date.
2. Click “Add to Cart.” You will be prompted to create a new student profile.
3. Complete your enrollment by submitting payment for the course.
4. Download and complete the enrollment packet, if applicable, and send to [email protected] or drop off at the Cumberland or Gloucester CTE Office.
