Program Learning
In the Industrial Maintenance Technician program, students receive training and certification aligned with industrial maintenance industry standards, building a strong foundation for a career in the field. As part of the Maintenance Welding component, students learn to adhere to welding safety rules, properly use an acetylene torch, and understand welding theory, equipment, and the welding selection process. Students gain hands-on experience preparing parts for welding, using a shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) welder to produce basic welds on flat stock, inspecting weld quality, and operating a plasma cutter to cut flat stock. Upon completion of this training, students will sit for the NIMS Maintenance Welding credential.

Enrollment Instructions
1. Visit our enrollment website and select your course with the appropriate start date.
2. Click “Add to Cart.” You will be prompted to create a new student profile.
3. Complete your enrollment by submitting payment for the course.
4. Download and complete the enrollment packet, if applicable, and send to [email protected] or drop off at the Cumberland or Gloucester CTE Office.
