Policy: 8203
Students attain maximum academic benefit through regular class attendance. Nothing else has yet been discovered to replace the value of daily, cumulative, and educational growth that results from regular participation in class. This is especially true where ideas, concepts, points of view, social development, confidence, knowledge, and success derive from the interaction of students and faculty.
With this in mind, faculty members will daily and accurately record student attendance as formal documentation.
The President will have administrative procedures formulated and disseminated for this policy.
