The Aging/Gerontology program equips students with the skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience needed to excel in this growing field. You'll develop practical abilities and a strong theoretical foundation that prepare you for rewarding careers or transfer to a four-year college. With a rising demand for professionals in aging services, graduates can step confidently into meaningful roles that have real impact on individuals, families, and communities across New Jersey and beyond.
- Students who have completed the program will be able to:
- Demonstrate a knowledge and acceptance of social work values and ethics
- Describe the social workers' role within the social service field
- Implement a multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving intervention
- Locate, retrieve, and critically evaluate information and information sources related to the profession
