LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (LMS)

The College’s current Learning Management System is Blackboard Learn 9.1.

When a third-party resource is utilized (Pearson, McGraw-Hill, Cengage, etc.), instructors must use the third-party integration within the LMS to connect students with that content.

If there is a case where an integration with the College’s LMS does not exist, instructors may not use that third party for any content that constitutes part of a student’s grade, as it is not possible to meet student identity verification requirements. For content that does not constitute part of a student’s grade, the students must be directed to the third-party content through the College’s LMS (without an integration).

If an instructor wants to make use of a third-party integration that does not currently exist, they should submit a request to the Division of Innovation and Technology so the option can be explored and added, if it meets security and performance requirements.
