College Policies and Administrative Procedures
A College policy satisfies all the following criteria:
- It has broad application throughout the College;
- It has senior level approval for issuance and/or significant revision;
- Resources are available to enforce the policy; and
- Information is provided to implement the policy.

Policy 2013, The College’s Role in the Workforce
Background for the policy revision:
The policy was revised to rearrange the content to create a better flow of information. No content was revised.
Policy 2015, Solicitation on Campus
Background for policy revision:
The policy was revised to include a more comprehensive definition of solicitation.
Policy 2017, Travel Excursions
Background for policy cancellation:
The policy was rescinded based on the content within this policy as no longer in practice, relevant, or part of the College’s mission. All college travel is addressed in P/AP 6115 Travel Authorization and Reimbursement.
Policy 3007, Physical Therapist Assistant Program Non-Represented Staff
Background for policy cancellation:
The policy was rescinded since the statement is no longer a requirement of the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
Policy 8401, Financial Aid
Background for AP revision:
The AP was revised to remove information related to Satisfactory Academic Program (SAP) and develop a standalone policy for SAP.
Policy 8402, Satisfactory Academic Progress
Background for policy development:
The policy was developed as a standalone policy from 8401 Financial Aid policy.

1001 By-Laws of the Board of Trustees
Background for policy revision:
The policy was revised to specify the name of an office referenced, e.g. Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, etc.
1005 Trustee Orientation and Development
Background for policy reaffirmation:
The policy owners on both the Cumberland and Gloucester campuses worked collaboratively to review and reaffirm this policy.
3013 Digital Learning Material
Background for policy and AP cancellations:
The policy and AP were previously renumbered to 4003, but now to be rescinded as 3013. These documents were duplicates on the RCSJ policy webpage.
3103 Degree and Certificate Requirements
Background for policy and AP revisions:
The policy and AP were revised to provide additional information regarding academic certificates and certificates of achievement.
3107 Multiple Degrees and Certificates
Background for policy and AP revisions:
The policy was revised to provide additional wording to the title and reorder content information. No content was revised in the policy. The AP was revised to provide additional wording to the title, reorder content information, and include information regarding Certificates of Achievement.
3301 Academic Progress, Probation, and Leave
Background for policy and AP revisions:
The policy was revised to align information with current Anthology implementation and further define academic probation. The AP was revised to align information with current Anthology implementation and further define Academic Warning, Academic Probation, and Academic Leave.
4003 Digital Learning Materials
Background for policy and AP revisions:
The policy was revised with a name change and further defining of security for digital learning materials. The AP was revised with the reordering of content and number change from 3013 to 4003. No content was revised in the AP.

2003 Executive Representation
Background for AP revision:
The AP was revised to reflect an administrative responsibility change.
4001 Acceptable Use of Technological Resources
Background for policy and AP revisions:
The policy was revised with an administrative responsibility change and two additional verbiage clarifications. The AP was revised with an administrative responsibility change and a variety of verbiage clarifications along with defining a “Collaboration Platform”.
4005 Online Proctoring
Background for policy and AP revisions:
The policy was revised with statements of clarification to support the academic integrity of online assessments. The AP was revised to update the link for technical requirements for online proctoring products and the statement regarding the student laptop program was deleted.
4009 Collaboration Platforms
Background for policy and AP revisions:
The policy was revised with a policy title change from “Web Conferencing” and corresponding verbiage revisions from “Web Conferencing” to “Collaboration Platforms” in the body of the document. Additionally, the statement “No other web conferencing collaborative platforms may be used for synchronous online communication initiated by the College” was deleted. The AP was revised with a title change, clarification regarding recording of a session, and rearrangement of other information within the AP with no content change.
7411 Employment Practices
Background for AP revision:
The AP was revised to include a section on “Reduction in Force.”
9001 Campus Security and Compliance with the Clery Act
Background for AP revision:
The AP was revised to reflect an administrative responsibility change and a title change.

FAQs
A college policy is designed to ensure compliance and establish accountability of operating units and individuals affected by the policy. All policies are Board approved.
An administrative procedure provides the guidelines to implement a policy. It does not require Board approval.
The policy office maintains the policy library and assists in the development of new policies and the revision of existing policies that affect the College community.
