Policy: 5101

As a general rule, the College will not procure, store, or serve alcoholic beverages on campus. However, there may be special circumstances (such as campus or external fund-raising events, special meetings, or educational purposes) where the serving of alcohol may be allowable.

For this type of event, the College or sponsoring organization must apply for and obtain a special permit from the New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC). This application must be submitted to the President or designee at least two weeks prior to the deadline prescribed by ABC. The College or sponsoring organization must follow all the rules and requirements set forth by ABC for this purpose.

The College reserves the right to deny any request for the serving of alcoholic beverages on the College campus. In addition, the College will not approve any permit request from a student organization for the serving of alcoholic beverage on campus.
