Policy: 8305

Service and academic fraternal organizations, including honor societies, will be sanctioned by the College when such organizations subscribe to the fundamental principle of non-discriminatory membership. Such sanctioned organizations will be affiliated with recognized national service and/or academic societies.

The College will not sponsor, sanction, or recognize any group-living arrangement or accommodation.

These sanctioned organizations may serve as the nucleus for academic service activities at the College, and as such will be eligible to receive support from College funds and to use the College facilities.

Official recognition of fraternal organizations rests on the assumption of compliance and agreement with the regulations and guidelines established for all clubs and organizations by the College.
