Program Learning Outcomes
The program combines general education with nursing courses to prepare currently Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for entry-level Registered Nursing (RN) practice. Upon successful completion of the Nursing program, students are eligible to apply for state licensure and take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). The Nursing program is approved by The New Jersey Board of Nursing and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
Graduates of the Nursing program will:
- Apply principles of evidence-based practice to patient care
- Value inter-professional and community partners collaboration
- Demonstrate ethical and professional nursing practice

Selective Admissions
This program at RCSJ is a selective admissions program. After completing the general RCSJ application and being accepted to the College, the applicant must submit a separate application (portfolio) for their program of choice and attend an information session. Each program accepts one cohort of students per academic year.
3+1 Program
This program at RCSJ is eligible for the 3+1 Program, an innovative partnership between Rowan College of South Jersey and Rowan Universitythat provides students with an affordable pathway to a bachelor’s degree. After earning their associate degree, students can remain at RCSJ for an additional year to complete their junior year while saving money on tuition and fees. Students then transfer to Rowan University for their senior year to complete their bachelor’s degree.

Education Unique to Each Student
The support I received at RCSJ means a lot, especially being first-generation. It meant a lot having those people there to guide me, have 100% trust in me to do what I said I was going to do, . . . and believe in me even more than I believed in myself.
