Program Learning Outcomes
The CCMA certificate program at RCSJ provides the requisite training for entry-level postsecondary medical assistant students through classroom, laboratory and supervised clinical instruction and practice. CCMA program graduates receive a Certificate of Achievement upon completion of all program components. Students in good academic standing are eligible to take the national credentialing exam at the completion of all program requirements.
View the Program Guide for more information about courses and semester sequencing.
Applying to the Program
This program at RCSJ is a selective admissions program. After completing the general RCSJ application and being accepted to the College, the applicant must submit a separate application (portfolio) for their program of choice and attend an information session. Each program accepts one cohort of students per academic year.
Education Unique to Each Student
The support I received at RCSJ means a lot, especially being first-generation. It meant a lot having those people there to guide me, have 100% trust in me to do what I said I was going to do, . . . and believe in me even more than I believed in myself.
