Program Learning
The Pet First Aid course is an engaging, interactive program designed to equip pet owners and animal care professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to respond confidently in emergency situations. The course covers essential topics including pet first aid, animal CPR, injury assessment, and how to recognize and react to common pet emergencies such as choking, bleeding, poisoning, and heat-related illnesses. Participants will also learn general pet care principles, including how to safely handle animals during stressful situations and recognize signs of pain or distress.
This course is a pre-requisite to the Veterinary Assistant Program.

Enrollment Instructions
1. Visit our enrollment website and select your course with the appropriate start date.
2. Click “Add to Cart.” You will be prompted to create a new student profile.
3. Complete your enrollment by submitting payment for the course.
4. Download and complete the enrollment packet, if applicable, and send to [email protected] or drop off at the Cumberland or Gloucester CTE Office.
