The Aging/Gerontology program equips students with the skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience needed to excel in this growing field. You'll develop practical abilities and a strong theoretical foundation that prepare you for rewarding careers or transfer to a four-year college. Students who have completed the program will be able to:
Demonstrate a knowledge and acceptance of social work values and ethics
Describe the social workers' role within the social service field
Implement a multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving intervention
Locate, retrieve, and critically evaluate information and information sources related to the profession
