REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION APPEALS
To ensure that eligible individuals with disabilities have equal access to the College, the Department of Special Services provides reasonable accommodations to eligible individuals who submit required documentation to be considered for accommodations.
Accommodations are provided to address the special needs of individuals with disabilities under Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities and Amendments Act (ADAAA) of 2008.
In the event that an individual deems a reasonable accommodation was not sufficiently made or, in fact, denied his/her request for an accommodation, the individual can make a written request to have the decision reconsidered. The written appeal may be made to the Director of Student Special Services/ADA/504 Officer.
If the appeal is denied, the student can submit a written appeal to the Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer (Gloucester campus), or Executive Director Threat Assessment Management, Title IX, Compliance, and Judicial Affairs (Cumberland campus).
The decision rendered by either the Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer (Gloucester campus), or Executive Director Threat Assessment Management, Title IX, Compliance, and Judicial Affairs (Cumberland campus) is final.
