Program Learning Outcomes
This program provides the general education foundation necessary for students who are planning to transfer to complete a baccalaureate degree. Using available elective credits, students will focus on Communications as a specific field of study. This degree can also be completed fully online.
Students who have completed the program should be able to:
- Communicate effectively in writing and orally
- Demonstrate an understanding of various scientific, artistic, social, and historical ideas and perspectives
- Analyze information and use critical thinking to make decisions and solve problems
- Demonstrate a basic proficiency in creative writing, journalism, or media

3+1 Program
This program at RCSJ is eligible for the 3+1 Program, an innovative partnership between Rowan College of South Jersey and Rowan Universitythat provides students with an affordable pathway to a bachelor’s degree. After earning their associate degree, students can remain at RCSJ for an additional year to complete their junior year while saving money on tuition and fees. Students then transfer to Rowan University for their senior year to complete their bachelor’s degree.

Education Unique to Each Student
There’s a great community here. There’re people who don’t even take classes that will come here to work on projects. When you watch other artists work you see other techniques and learn new things. It’s really cool. I love it.
